| Within minutes of Cry of the Loon are many other fascinating destinations, including the Shaker Village in New Gloucester, rafting on the Saco River, hiking on many hills and mountains, the Jones Museum of Glass and Ceramics in Sebago and waterfalls in Steep Falls and Hiram Falls.
Slightly further afield are the attractions of Portland, including the Portland Museum of Art and the Children’s Museum, Brunswick, home to Bowdoin College and its Art Museum and Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum and, of course, Freeport, where you’ll find L.L. Bean and other fine shops.
